Samson Liu has been a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire since 1993. He graduated from Sheffield University Medical School in 1981 following which he trained in all aspects of Urology in Sheffield, Derby, Birmingham, London and Leicester before he was appointed as a Consultant Urologist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust. His main subspecialty interests include bladder cancer, urinary stone disease, andrology, incontinence and paediatric urology, as well as practicing a wide range of general urology.
He holds several national roles including council member of the Urology Surgical Advisory Committee of the Royal College of Surgeons and the British Association of Urological Surgeons. He is also the Regional Advisor for Urology in the West Midlands and the external SAC Urology Advisor for training in the East Midlands. He has a major interest in training and revalidation.
